What’s your excuse? (2018)
“...didn’t sleep well last night.”
“...ate the wrong thing for lunch.”
“...too sore from yesterday’s training.”
“...a rough day at work.”
“...I am just getting over a cold.”
“...there is a big game on TV.”

People who have excuses, will always have excuses.
It is important to realize that you will never have a day when training is the easy thing to do. Doing pushups, difficult stretching, and challenging techniques will always require determination and motivation. Progress requires more than the inspiration to begin—it requires the willpower and spirit to continue when things get difficult or tedious.

Progress takes work—work you have to do regardless of your mood. A good mood is something to enjoy, but the reward for good work is a feeling that is more than any mood.

Have Fun and Save Lives (2016)
Golden Dragon Instructor Dmitry Prosvirov led a Kung Fu Master Class at the Los Angeles Charity Event "Have Fun and Save Lives". The proceeds of the event went towards providing food and shelter to children in war-torn Ukraine. We at the Golden Dragon wish something better for all the children of the world. Kudos to Dmitry and all the attendees, who had a good time for a great cause.

Song of The Golden Dragon Video Shoot (2016)
It is said that all of our small accomplishments prepare us for our contribution to even bigger accomplishments. Some might see this as luck, others would declare that this is how fate works. For Grandmaster Valery Prosvirov and his proginees at Kung Fu of Golden Dragon, it's simply a matter of all the pieces falling into place.

Crossing All Borders (2016)
Many new students of the martial arts, when searching for a kung fu teacher, often choose the go-to canvas choice of a kung fu teacher that has a Chinese sounding name or discipline of style. Often, people equate this cultural background with proficiency in the art. However, a problem that arises in the Russian community in Los Angeles is finding the teacher that not only gives quality instruction, but can also bridge the cultural divide inherent to being a new citizen in a foreign land.
Happy New Year!!! (2016)
Today marked our first class of the new year at Kung Fu Golden Dragon. While most people would wait a week to start their New Year's resolution, our students, who ranged from ages 5 to 85, were here bright and early to continue their Chi gong and Kung Fu training. Aside from seeing our old friends return, we welcomed new members into the fold today as well. Master Valery let the students, old and new, through an hour-long intensive Chi gong exercise.

As they say, one good turn deserves another... On June 20th, Dmitry Prosvirov and Bohannon Orr got a chance to return the favor that Shuny Bee paid us by visiting KF of GD. They were among a select few other martial artists invited to attend a fight choreography workshop for Bee's newest film in production, "Fight of Fury", which will star Shuny Bee, Kathy Long and Eric Lee. It is expected to be released near springtime of next year.

Shuny Bee Visit to Golden Dragon (Jun.15.2015)

Golden Dragon Kung Fu is preparing to strike the celluloid! On June 15th, the kwoon received a visit from martial arts instructor and film actor Shuny Bee out of the blue! Bee was in awe as he perused our dojo and training tools, including our twin Wooden Men. Afterwards, Master Valery and he discussed potential future film projects, including the upcoming third installment of the Lessons of Fate Series.

Eric Lee's Tribute (May 31 2015)
