Crossing All Borders (2016)
Many new students of the martial arts, when searching for a Kung Fu teacher, often choose the go-to canvas choice of a kung fu teacher that has a Chinese sounding name or discipline of style. Often, people equate this cultural background with proficiency in the art. However, a problem that arises in the Russian community in Los Angeles is finding the teacher that not only gives quality instruction, but can also bridge the cultural divide inherent to being a new citizen in a foreign land. Contrary to popular belief, the Russian community in Los Angeles is not only large and strong, but steadily growing. In fact, West Hollywood boasts one of the largest concentrations of Russian born citizens in the United States, placing it even over San Francisco. With numbers that high, it only seems suiting that Santa Monica would host a martial arts school that not only has a Russian-Born headmaster, but boasts some of the most quality Kung Fu instruction in the state, if not the nation. While we have many Russian families enrolling for both themselves and their children, we are proud to declare that our students come from all cultural and social walks of life. Here at Golden Dragon, we believe that while where you are from helps to define who you are, what you do ultimately defines you and what you can become. So round up the family and come down for a free introductory class. Let Golden Dragon show you that Kung Fu is truly for everyone.
