KUNG FU FOR SENIORS

It doesn’t matter if you’re 50, 60 or 90—At any age, you have to take care of yourself and your health. Caring for yourself enables you to live life to the fullest. This is always worth the effort.

Senior classes are focused on health and development. Our training is accessible and possible for any physical condition. Improvement is always available to you, and we encourage one and all to do the best for themselves. Before your training, we will determine the safest and healthiest possible program for you. If you are willing to work diligently and consistently, your improvement and progress will astound you.

Thousands of years ago, Martial Artists in ancient China noted: "If a person is healthy at 30, then at 40 he is strong, at 50 he is powerful, and at 60 he is unbeatable. At 90, he retains joint mobility, visual acuity, good hearing, and he can travel 1000 li (300 miles)”. Compare that to the modern idea of aging, where people in their thirties and forties routinely lament “I'm not 18 anymore”... You are supposed to develop and improve with age. Sixty is not old. Sixty is supposed to be “unbeatable”. We are not shoddily assembled cars and trucks that break down and deteriorate; the human body is an incredible, adaptable, and spectacular organism that can regenerate and maintain itself for beyond a century of life.

The longevity of the human body is echoed in "The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Chinese Medicine”, which is about three thousand years old. This extensive record is considered to be the oldest report on medicine, and thorough research of it indicates that even in those early days, people had a deep understanding of physiology, anatomy, and the methods of preserving health. Thousands of years ago, people lived longer and healthier lives.  The Ancient Chinese masters knew far more about maintaining and developing themselves than we know today.

How did this happen? In short, generation after generation has chosen comfort and pleasure over the healthy necessity. We stay busy regretting the past, worrying about the future, and pampering our fragile egos. As a society, we choose fleeting pleasures and mindless distractions, and we have lost track of what is truly important. Love, happiness, and health are ignored in the commotion of over-excitement and ceaseless anxiety.

At the end of the day, we trust (and pay) the well-developed pharmaceutical industry to keep us alive.

There is an alternative path that leads to a good life at any age. You must take a professional attitude towards your health. Everybody has to work to earn money, because nobody can ignore the bills. At the same time, no one can neglect their own health. Just as you work a lifetime to support yourself financially, you must also make the time to work for your health. There is no retirement from having a human body. There is no vacation from the human body. As long as we live, we have a responsibility to maintain ourselves and our own well-being.

No one knows you better than you know yourself. Listen to yourself and help yourself, because there is no other help but self-help. That’s the real truth of life. Caring for yourself doesn’t make you selfish, it makes you healthier and, therefore, useful and helpful to everybody around you. It doesn’t matter how old you are; if you're alive – DEVELOP YOURSELF!

We offers you an opportunity to try the most effective method of self-development - Chinese martial arts. Kung Fu is not a sport, it's a way. The way of continuous self-development, self-realization, and self-expression at ANY AGE!

We are honored to work with anyone with the courage to improve themselves.
