Martial Arts Training and Seminars
- Training with Experts: Dmitry dedicated a substantial amount of time to honing his martial arts skills by training with black belt professionals. This experience allowed him to exchange knowledge and refine his techniques in various self-defense systems. - Kung Fu Classes: Conducted three times a week.
- Private classes: non stop on every day basis.
- Seminars Conducted: Dmitry organized several seminars, showcasing his expertise:
- Four Tai Chi Seminars throughout the year.
- Self-Defense Seminars: Street Smart Survival System, co-led with Sensei Jacov Bresler and Master JoeLee. And a second seminar on December 14, alongside Sensei Jennifer Silverstein and Sensei Jenny Mora.
Community Engagement and Awards
- Participation in Events: Dmitry took part in various martial arts seminars, including the prestigious 19th Annual Dragon Fest, further enhancing his skills and networking with other professionals. Sifu D. attended a spectacular "79th" birthday party for his mentor and father figure, the Great Grand Master Eric Lee, surrounded by 200 esteemed guests from the martial arts world, including renowned martial artists, movie stars, and dancers. Among them was the teacher of Michael Jackson. Mark Dacascos, Billy Blanks, Grand Master Samuel Kwok, Founder of Martial Arts Museum Michael Matsuda, Lady Dragon Cynthia Rothrock, Don "The Dragon" Willson, Art Camacho and many-many other great and talented people in their own crafts, all gathered to honor our friend Sigung Eric Lee’s legacy. The evening featured a variety of performances, with Sifu Dmitry and several other guests showcasing a mesmerizing Chinese Dragon Dance, where Dmitry held the head of the dragon under the guidance of a Shaolin monk, creating a captivating display of skill and tradition. The ambiance of the Chinese restaurant was enhanced by vibrant decorations, and the culinary offerings were exceptional, providing a delightful experience that celebrated both cultural and artistic heritage. This memorable event not only highlighted the deep respect within the martial arts community but also emphasized the beauty of collaboration across different art forms.
- Family Milestone: Dmitry’s older son, Mark Prosvirov, earned his first belt at TK Tae Kwon Do school led by Master Andrew, a close friend of Sifu Dmitry—marking an important and proud moment for the family.

Tactical Training Day: Sifu D. also enjoyed a productive training day at Rancho, where tactical instructor Jennifer led a small private group session on essential shooting techniques. Joined by friends Vasily, Kelley, Luciano, and Uriel, the experience strengthened skills and camaraderie, making it a memorable outing.
- Business Recognition: His dedication earned him the **2025 Best of Business Award** for outstanding customer satisfaction in his martial arts business, affirming his commitment to his students and the community.
Personal Growth and Spiritual Journey
- Buddhist Events: Dmitry hosted two significant events titled "Journey of Wisdom," featuring teachings from his spiritual mentor, Tulku Rinpoche. These gatherings aimed to foster peace and confidence among participants.
- Hall of Fame Induction: He was inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as the **Chinese Martial Arts Master of the Year**, a testament to his influence and contributions to martial arts. A special thank you to Dr. & Grandmaster Jim Thomas, the esteemed leader of this organization, for his unwavering support and dedication to our martial arts community.
Cultural and Community Initiatives
- Tea Ceremony: Dmitry and his mother, Elena, organized a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, enriching the local community's understanding of Chinese culture and fostering connections among participants. Due to its success, they plan to replicate this event multiple times in the coming year.
- Tai Chi and Hiking Events: Dmitry offered free Tai Chi classes combined with hiking trips as a community gift, promoting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging discussions among participants. These events were held three times throughout the year, with plans for more in 2026.
