At the Martial Arts Hall of Fame event in May 2024, Master Kung Fu Dmitry Prosvirov had the pleasure of meeting Sumya Anani, a celebrated figure in her own discipline of yoga and aerial fitness. Dmitry, along with his fellow Kung Fu instructor Dmitry Fimin, participated in a seminar led by Sumya, where they had the chance to experience her teachings firsthand. Sumya, known for her expertise in Kundalini and Hatha yoga, is a passionate advocate for finding joy in movement, and her energy and positivity left a lasting impression on all attendees. She was also recognized at the event as the Female Pro Boxing Champion of the Year, further showcasing her diverse accomplishments.
Dmitry and Sumya connected over their shared commitment to helping others achieve their best selves, both physically and mentally. The banquet following the awards ceremony gave Dmitry an opportunity to reflect on the power of diverse disciplines like yoga, boxing, and Kung Fu in contributing to personal growth. He looks forward to future collaborations with Sumya and expanding his understanding of how different forms of movement can complement traditional Chinese martial arts.
