The 17th International Tai Chi Seminar – November 17, 2024
We are excited to invite you to our 17th seminar on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Golden Dragon Martial Arts Club, led by the renowned Kung Fu Grand Master Valery Prosvirov. This seminar will be a unique opportunity to learn from a martial arts legend with decades of international experience.
The focus of this seminar will be on Tai Chi Art: Principles, History, and Application in Battle, as well as the Philosophy behind this ancient martial art. Participants will gain valuable insights into the foundations of Tai Chi, learning not only how to practice it for health and wellness but also how to effectively apply its techniques in combat situations. Grand Master Valery will also share his knowledge on the deeper philosophical aspects of Tai Chi, revealing how this gentle yet powerful art form can transform both body and mind.
Grand Master Valery Prosvirov has conducted seminars worldwide, sharing his extensive knowledge and expertise. He has led seminars in Greece in 2007 and China on multiple occasions, including Weihai City (summer 2007, winter 2008, summer 2008, winter 2009, and summer 2009) and Shanghai in 2010. His vast experience extends to numerous seminars across Russia and four international seminars in the USA.
Additionally, Grand Master Valery has worked alongside some of the biggest names in martial arts and action choreography. He participated in a special Fight Choreography Seminar with Cynthia Rothrock, a martial arts movie star, as well as a Stunt Fighting Workshop led by Art Camacho, an award-winning film director, producer, and martial artist known for his action stunt-fighting workshops. He has also shared the stage with Don “The Dragon” Wilson, an 11-time World Champion Kickboxer and action movie star, during a seminar that combined practical fighting techniques with the art of performance. He participated in a weapons training seminar with O-SENSEI ALEXEY KUNIN - Master of Traditional Japanese Ju-Jitsu.
This seminar will focus on traditional Kung Fu techniques, their history, and real-world application. Whether you're new to martial arts or an experienced practitioner, you’ll benefit from Grand Master Valery's insights, demonstrations, and hands-on training. The 17th Tai Chi Seminar, held on November 17, 2024, at the Golden Dragon Martial Arts Club, was a resounding success, drawing participants from various locations. The seminar, led by the renowned Grand Master Valery Prosvirov and his son Master Dmitry, focused on the principles, history, and practical application of Tai Chi, as well as its deeper philosophical aspects.
A special highlight of the event was the presence of Grand Master Ledy Lalane Reed and her husband, Grand Master David Reed, who honored the seminar with their visit, adding a sense of prestige and excitement. In addition, Sifu Kiril and his students from Colombia, as well as Sifu Valery Rogotov from Russia and his students, participated remotely via Zoom. The international reach of the seminar included attendees from Germany, Canada, Israel, and China, contributing to its diverse and global atmosphere.
Local participants, including many from Santa Clarita, drove to Santa Monica to gain valuable knowledge from Grand Master Valery and Master Dmitry, with great enthusiasm for their expert teachings. The seminar received fantastic reviews for its engaging content, hands-on demonstrations, and deep insights into Tai Chi, making it a memorable and educational experience for all involved.
