Winter Camp
This past holiday season, the world rested on its laurels with bated breath as Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in theaters. Here at Golden Dragon, we paid homage to one of the most popular film franchises in history the best way we knew how: we held our annual Winter Camp in full Star Wars theme.

Instructor assistant Bohannon Orr along with chief instructor Dmitri Prosvirov proctored the whole workshop and touched on many elements of the Force. The students learned about the saga's history, lightsabers, their different types, the 7 different saber fighting styles, and most importantly, how the Force connects to kung fu. In addition, Bohannon employed his acting expertise to teach the children the basics of screen acting for his upcoming project, The Dark Chronicles. This series, penned by Bohannon, will be released through the Gold Stanley Production Co. in association with Golden Dragon Films. On top of teaching our students the fundamentals of both acting and fight choreography, we hope to tell a story that ignites the imagination and keeps the viewers at the edges of their seats.

The kids loved every second of both acting and martial arts training, and we hope that this Winter Camp is just the tip of the iceberg. Our next phase includes work shopping, read-throughs, and casting of the series, as well as fight choreography full filming. We will be opening up a kick starter to accept donations in order to bring you the highest quality product possible. With any luck, we will be able to hold these workshops as Force Academy February. It is our hope that these lessons the kids learn will not only be fun and exciting for them, but will carry over into their everyday lives and help them to make others' better as well. May the Force be with us all!
