Master Kung Fu Dmitry Prosvirov and Son Attend the Amazing Asian Motion Movie Festival

November 17 2024, my son Mark and I had the privilege of attending the Amazing Asian Motion Movie Festival in Culver City. The event celebrated the rich intersection of Asian culture, martial arts, and the cinematic arts. It was truly an unforgettable experience for both of us.

As always, my son Mark—a dedicated 9-year-old Taekwondo Brown Stripe belt—was thrilled to immerse himself in the world of martial arts and motion pictures. Together, we met some incredible people from various walks of life, including martial artists, filmmakers, and actors who share a deep passion for the arts. It was an honor to engage with such talented and inspiring individuals, and we were able to establish new connections with those who share a love for martial arts and cinema.

One of the event's highlights was witnessing the iconic actor Mark Dacascos, one of my favorite martial arts and motion picture stars, being honored with the prestigious Bruce Lee Award. Known for his breathtaking action sequences, incredible martial arts skills, and dynamic screen presence, Mark Dacascos has been an inspiration to martial artists and film enthusiasts for decades. It was an incredible moment to see such a talented and dedicated actor recognized for his contributions to the industry and the martial arts world.

The Amazing Asian Motion Movie Festival was more than just an event—it was a celebration of culture, artistry, and the shared values of discipline, creativity, and respect that martial arts instill in all of us. For my son and me, it was a reminder of the limitless potential that martial arts and storytelling have to bring people together, inspire growth, and create lasting bonds.

We look forward to future events like this, where we can continue to learn, grow, and connect with others who share our passion.

Currently a student in college (on my last year!) I have been taking Kung Fu with Dmitry for about 6 months now, and I've only seen positive results. Dmitry's positive attitude and his personality attributes help the one-on-one feel less like I'm at a lecture, although you could say a class is a class, to which I'd disagree. I've taken multiple sports in highschool as well as the beginning of my college years, and I'd go as far to say that this form of physical education is something so unique, it's not just your typical fitness routine It's more than that. Aside from the benefit of physical exercise, the breathing exercises, qi gong, helped me relax my mind which is something I haven't felt in a while, made me much more concentrated, mindful and surroundings overall. I believe if it wasn't the Kung Fu exercises, I would've never been able to do as well in this last half a year at college as I am now. Martial Arts has for sure implemented itself into my life and is very very important to me. Thank you!

Master Dmitry has been a fantastic teacher for me and my entire family, primarily for my children! They just love him! If you're unaware, Dmitry isn't only a great trainer for adults, but also teaches kids, ages of 5 and up, making him not only a variety trainer... My children get the activity and exercise they need, as well as knowledge about the arts and techniques for self defense. This is very important to us. As someone with his own kids, Dmitry has perfectly understood the approach to ours, and how to have fun while also making it their favorite extracurricular.
