Golden Dragon's Birthday Party
26.10.2016
It is a well known statistic that about 70% of small businesses fail within the first year. After that, it's said, the best formula for keeping a successful business alive is loyalty to clients, a product that people can rely upon, and a strong network. All of those bases are covered here at Kung Fu of Golden Dragon, which is why we are proud to celebrate our 4th Anniversary in business here in the United States. Our dojo on Santa Monica Blvd. was bustling with friends and family all gathered for the awesome festivities. What's more, not only were we celebrating the school, but also the birthday of our Head Instructor, Grandmaster Valery Prosvirov.
Grandmaster Valery Prosvirov, who has been awarded the title of Master of the Year numerous times by the Martial Arts Hall of Fame, celebrated his 50th birthday along with his year of Jubilee. He was treated with a surprise gift from his son, Chief Jr. Instructor Dima Prosvirov, who shot, directed, and edited a Congratulatory video, complete with heartfelt interviews from his students, family, and friends. His mother even shared some of the stories that helped to mold him into the paragon of honor and nobility we all know and revere today. Special thanks are in order for Natalia Kalinsky and Sky Shachory, who provided indispensable help in bringing this homage to light.
We all enjoyed the film and each other's company. But no party is complete without – CAKE! Elena Prosvirova took the reins in designing one of the most dazzling (and delicious) pastry centerpieces ever brought through our doors. We hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we enjoyed hosting, and that they all at least got a taste of the delectable confection. Although from the size of the cake, we're pretty sure everyone was satisfied. Here's to many more years of fun, family, and KUNG FU!!
