Black Belt Street Smart Survival System Annual Gathering
24.11.2024
Dmitry Prosvirov recently had the incredible honor of attending the Black Belt Street Smart Survival System Annual Gathering, a prestigious event that brought together some of the finest martial artists from across the nation. My invitation came from my dear friend and Sensei, Jacov Bresler, whose expertise and passion for martial arts have always been inspiring.
The event was an intensive 6.5-hour session filled with invaluable teachings and hands-on training. We worked on a variety of crucial self-defense techniques, including:
Street Jiu-Jitsu
Empty Hands Combat
Street Survival Teachings
Street Kickboxing
Street Kubaton Techniques
Gap Training
Defending Against Multiple Attackers
Senseis Cliff Odette, Nenad Milosavljevic, and Chance Ward were phenomenal in sharing their deep knowledge and practical expertise. They broke down the intricate aspects of martial arts and self-defense, offering invaluable insights to all the attending black belts.

The gathering wasn’t just about training—it was also a celebration of martial arts camaraderie. I had the pleasure of meeting many new faces, as well as reconnecting with some old friends and legends of the martial arts world. Among them were Shihan Allen Woodman, Kung Fu Sifu Eric Lee, and the iconic Emil Farkas, who has been a cornerstone of the martial arts community in the U.S., running his Beverly Hills school since the 1970s.
It was an absolute honor to be included in this elite circle of martial artists, a community dedicated to the mastery of self-defense and the art of survival. The knowledge shared at this event was both humbling and empowering, reminding me of the endless possibilities for growth in martial arts.
I’m already looking forward to the next gathering, which is expected to take place in Utah next year. It’s an incredible opportunity to continue learning, training, and connecting with some of the greatest minds and practitioners in martial arts. This experience was truly unforgettable, and I’m grateful to have been part of such a remarkable event.
